Extinction scares

 Scientists have no clue how many animal species are alive and how many that could've became extinct and we had no clue. That is crazy to think of. As of now there are many endangered species whether that is from loss of habitat from natural disasters or many other causes. Another cause from the loss of habitat is from humans. Humans create development for housing, industry and agriculture and by doing this  can destroy habitats of these animals causing many of them to die and become an endangered species causing these animals to live in a controlled environment.     It's sad to see animals go extinct or even just chased out of their own natural habitat because of what humans are doing. good post.

    Ya it sucks I can’t see the picture but it’s ok. It really sucks how so many animals are going extinct. I can’t believe people are mean and killing off animals and ruining there habitat. I really liked the article thank.

    I like your topic choice, I think it is very interesting to learn about animals that have become extinct. Hopefully with increasing conservation efforts, we can help in the preservation of endangered species.

Energy: Hydropower Pros and Cons

 Hydropower is not often talked about as a primary option for sustainable energy, however, 6.6% of energy produced in the U.S. is through hydropower, compared to solar energy which happens to only be 2.3% and is usually the first thought when someone mentions “clean energy.” The reason for this being the majority hydropower plants only give energy to large-scale, industrial operations.  Hydropower boasts a few positives that make it a viable option, those being that it is reliable, safe, and produces a very low amount of emissions. Other than that, they are fairly expensive to build, and they have a very realistic potential to cause droughts.
