From forest to highways

Take a look at this article by William F. Laurance to learn more about how the environment is being greatly effected by roads constantly being built. We have a very amazing and delicate systems all around our world, but with our vast growth globally our amazing ecosystems are struggling due to the destruction of forests for roads to be put down. Many places that were very off grid and rural are growing and growing causing the need for roads to be placed in their tropical areas, by doing so it starts to ruins the ecosystem all around.

I think we need to take a second to look around at what we have done to our special ecosystem. Yes, roads are important but we don't need to be ruining many forest for more and more roads. We should come up with other ways so we can try and get back our special ecosystem at least a little bit before we lose it all.

  1. I like how you included your own viewpoint on this very important topic. I agree with you and how there are other ways to build roads other than tearing apart ecosystems.
