Our food system now of days really affects our health many ways I feel. There is so many things that go into our food that we don't know about. I read this article and it helped me learn a lot. Some of the things it talked about in it were the way industrial equipment has effect the food and out health. In this section it talks about pesticides what I went over in my last blog and it went over fertilizer in the water. Another big thing it talked about in this article was the factory farms and how it risks our health. In this part it talked about the ground water and surface water contamination that happens. It also brings up the problem with air pollution. But in this it talks about a lot of other interesting things.     I can really agree with this, our food does affect our health nowadays. Before reading this I never really thought about what goes into our food so this article really helped me understand that!

    This was a great article to read because it was not only interesting but also talked about a lot of timely issues that I was not aware of. It is nice to be able to find out more about what goes into what we are eating because most of the time we are not aware of that.

Energy: Hydropower Pros and Cons

 Hydropower is not often talked about as a primary option for sustainable energy, however, 6.6% of energy produced in the U.S. is through hydropower, compared to solar energy which happens to only be 2.3% and is usually the first thought when someone mentions “clean energy.” The reason for this being the majority hydropower plants only give energy to large-scale, industrial operations.  Hydropower boasts a few positives that make it a viable option, those being that it is reliable, safe, and produces a very low amount of emissions. Other than that, they are fairly expensive to build, and they have a very realistic potential to cause droughts. It ends off with them giving numbers on there work with BI intelligence and how much money they made in 2020 and what they are projected to make in 2050.
