Agriculture


 In this weeks agriculture blog we will talk about, the problems agriculture is facing in North America. Are prices are so high for agriculture, our population is expected to swell about 9 billion people very soon. If this does happen and they are right farmers will have to learn how to cope with things better than they do now. Which I’m my opinion I think they do a pretty good job coping with things but I guess everyone does not think that. They think farmers will have to do a better job at coping with weather and when we have a drought which the drought part i do agree with because I hear farmers crying all the time when it’s to dry but never wanna go out and do something about it. We have to get these little issues fixed to keep having a good environment.

    Amazing blog! it's crazy how agriculture prices are rising, but I agree farmer will have to learn how to cope better with things. Especially with stuff like droughts, because sometimes there is nothing you can do about it.

Energy: Hydropower Pros and Cons

 Hydropower is not often talked about as a primary option for sustainable energy, however, 6.6% of energy produced in the U.S. is through hydropower, compared to solar energy which happens to only be 2.3% and is usually the first thought when someone mentions “clean energy.” The reason for this being the majority hydropower plants only give energy to large-scale, industrial operations.  Hydropower boasts a few positives that make it a viable option, those being that it is reliable, safe, and produces a very low amount of emissions. Other than that, they are fairly expensive to build, and they have a very realistic potential to cause droughts.
