Coral reefs fight to save the ocean's food factories (Riley Burns)

 Many people believe that coral reefs were dying due too the oceans warming and pollution. This is a very bad situation for out water environment because  although coral reefs may be small, they are homes for an extreme amount of ocean life. But more importantly, the capture carbon dioxide and are food sources. Although many are still standing, they are being loss in groups going slowly. Soon enough they will all be gone.

    I think you did a very good job on your blog. I knew that coral reefs were dying, but I did not know how much they actually did. I did not realize that they capture carbon dioxide. That is a very sad thing that they are dying, because they are very beautiful and they have so many animals that live in them.

Energy: Hydropower Pros and Cons

 Hydropower is not often talked about as a primary option for sustainable energy, however, 6.6% of energy produced in the U.S. is through hydropower, compared to solar energy which happens to only be 2.3% and is usually the first thought when someone mentions “clean energy.” The reason for this being the majority hydropower plants only give energy to large-scale, industrial operations.  Hydropower boasts a few positives that make it a viable option, those being that it is reliable, safe, and produces a very low amount of emissions. Other than that, they are fairly expensive to build, and they have a very realistic potential to cause droughts.
