Energy: Electric Vehicle Production

Americans are buying electric vehicles in record numbers, however this amount is much lower than what current manufacturers have set their targets at. Many companies have transitioned into producing electric models, to eventually be able to compete with large companies, like Tesla, while still maintaining that familiar, gasoline option that so many people are already using. Another aspect of the increase in electric vehicle production is the new need for charging stations that aren’t stationed as the homes of the consumers. In response to this, federal lawmakers are proposing up to $7.5 billion for states to build an abundance of charging stations as part of the infrastructure bill moving through the Senate. These goals have been set by major companies in order to advertise the benefits of converting to electric vehicles.
