Energy: New Hydrogen Plant in NY

 While most people know about different Avenues for achieving renewable energy such as solar, wind, and water,  most people do not know about hydrogen power plants. This type of energy feeds off of hydrogen fuel in order to create energy for nearby communities. One such plant has been instated in Albany New York and has a lot of promising foresight.  The plant will cost around 298 million dollars,  but it is expected to bring in 6,800 new jobs. This will not only improve the economy in terms of cutting the cost of electricity, thereby free more Expendable capital for the users of traditional sources of energy, but will introduce new sources of income into the local economies of those people who receive paychecks from this plant.

    I really like your post. I didn’t know the thing of the new hydrogene. It is a good thing because it allow to bring new job, more precisely 6,800 jobs. The picture that you chose is cute and according with your topic.

    It's a very interesting blog, I didn't know about the hydrogen power plants and it seems to be good for people because it generates more jobs as weell being good for the environment.

    Thanks Konnor for doing this great blog. I really liked this one. This one was very interesting to me. Before this I had no clue what hydrogen power plants were. This sounds like something that will be very beneficial for engird and bringing people jobs. Overall great blog and I really like the picture at the end it was a good wrap up of what I just read.

Energy: Hydropower Pros and Cons

 Hydropower is not often talked about as a primary option for sustainable energy, however, 6.6% of energy produced in the U.S. is through hydropower, compared to solar energy which happens to only be 2.3% and is usually the first thought when someone mentions “clean energy.” The reason for this being the majority hydropower plants only give energy to large-scale, industrial operations.  Hydropower boasts a few positives that make it a viable option, those being that it is reliable, safe, and produces a very low amount of emissions. Other than that, they are fairly expensive to build, and they have a very realistic potential to cause droughts.
