Family Farms

Family Farms

In this article it talks about family farms and about how they make up 99% of our 2.1 billion farms. Then it goes over about how small farms and the numbers that are compared with other big farms. It also shows some cool graphs in the article. In one of the graphs it shows number of farms, land operation, and value of production. Then in the end of the article it has a graph that shows what percent of our farms are million dollar farms. Overall I thought this was interesting because I thought that family farms made up more produce in the community and locally instead of making up most of everything.
I enjoyed reading your blog. You did a good job summarizing up what your article contained. It’s crazy to think of the importance of these farms as we use their products in our everyday life.
ReplyDeleteI think you did a very good job on this blog. I really enjoyed learning more about family farms. I never realized how important these small family farms were to our everyday lives. I did not realized that there were so many family farms.
ReplyDeleteI found your blog very interesting and I think it has great information in it. I was very surprised to read that family farms make up 99% of the farms in the United States. That margin of production has to be so significant to compete with other large corporations and their giant, industrial farms.
