How companies could help with truck pollution? Alexander Blase
There is a company called Sunpower. They are a solar power ad energy service provider that helps with things solar panel related. This is true with vehicles that people drive nowadays including trucks. We know trucks pretty well and know what is used for transportation everyday. The biggest company that trucks import stuff to warehouses is Amazon. But the cool thing that Sunpower does to their trucks is that they are all powered by solar energy. This is really good for everyone including the environment.
People don't really that trucks including diesel are responsible for over half of the smog forming population. If this is not cured we can see this pollution increased to 25 percent by 2030. This is a factor to everyone as it decreases life expectancy by a very big margin. Places like Oakland, California and Houston, Texas, notice that the diesel truck pollution impacts people's health as those places have increased childhood asthma rates and lower life expectancy.
How we put a stop to this? Well this could take a while as diesel trucks are used everyday in order to ship all of our products and goods to the warehouse and then to our houses and supermarkets. In order to fully stop this, we need every huge and small company to start using solar powered trucks so that the smog can decrease rapidly and that no increased asthma children happens.

I found your blog very interesting. I never even thought of the real causes of some of these trucks. The fact that they can decrease your life expectancy isn’t good at all and we need to find a way for these diesel fueled trucked to come to a stop.
ReplyDeleteI really enjoyed the topic you picked for your blog. I had always figured that these trucks are not good for anyone or anything. After reading this it is found to be more than true, especially because I never thought it was so bad to where our own life spans were cut short. If we were able to stop it was much as we can we need to as soon as we can.
