Some baby food may contain toxic metals

As soon as I read the title, I was intrigued to learn more because this was such a dangerous thing that I had never heard about. Many of the baby food that was tested for its ingredients contained heavy metals such as arsenic, lead, and cadmium which could lead to behavioral impairments, brain damage, and even death. FDA spokesman says that the agency is working on limiting the toxins in baby food. While heavy metals are found in some grains and vegetables, it could increase when companies add other ingredients to the natural ones in their baby food products.
I think this is information that more people need to know about, especially parents because most of them just buy what the popular brands of baby food are instead of actually looking at the list of ingredients to make sure it is safe for their child to comsume.

  1. I am very surprised while I read this, it is in our own babies food you would think we would want what is best for them in their bodies. I am very glad you talked about this and now I know more of what to look for whenever I have my own kid.
