Southwest Water Concerns

    



 The growing concerns in the Southwest United States with droughts and climate change impacting the Colorado River, but the state that is the main focus is Arizona. At first, Arizona had many flowing rivers allowing many communities to thrive, but over time rivers being to dry up due to overallocation and groundwater pumping. In present time, the flows of the Colorado has shrunk about close to 20%, which can cause problems for Arizona since this is the primary sustainable water supply.
