There are many environmental issues that come from mining that affect the land. The bad part about this is that this eventually effects other things like the air and water. What you probably did know is that there are many different types of mining called, open pit mining, underground mining, in situ leach mining, heap leaching, and brine mining. Mining causes a lot of dust and metal output into the air, carbon output, erosion, and causes damage to landscapes. This is affecting the land that animals live on and have had as a habitat until they mine there. This is a very bad thing for our land and the animals that live around them.
