How the Seasons Impact Agriculture and Food Supply
Read this article to learn more about the different seasons and their effect on our food supply. Changes in weather could have significant impacts on crop yields. Most crops yields decline when the temperature reaches an extreme point. The climate not only impacts the crops but also livestock. Americans consume more than 36 million metric tons of meat and poultry annually but the climate could affect animals directly and indirectly. These changes in weather include heat waves, drought, and increases in carbon dioxide. These affect the US and almost everywhere in the world.
