How we can help out irreplaceable regions? Alexander Blase
There is a organization called EDGE that helps out with species and regions that are becoming irreplaceable because of human activity. This includes places like the Caribbean and Solomon Islands which is the reason for species including mammals and reptiles that are having problems finding a home to live because of us, humans, who have homes nears islands and the coast.
This isn't good for all the unique species that we don't see everyday. Regions that have unique species including the Western Swamp Turtle, are facing changes of climate or human pressure. Climate change is a huge problem because it has increased a whooping 160x more in irreplaceable regions across the earth. If this doesn't stop, we won't see any regions in the future if they aren't protected. https://www.edgeofexistence.org
Great blog! I had never heard of EDGE before reading this and so it furthered my knowledge about the species being endangered and made me want to help make a change.
ReplyDeleteSo does irreplaceable here mean a unique bioregion? Habitat for endangered species?
